Over time, the sun begins to set on the new look of your car, truck, or SUV. The wear and tear of driving daily in Tucson replaces your once beautiful paint shine. Minor vehicle scratches and car wash swirls can be an eyesore. UV Rays and oxidation can lead to a faded or cloudy paint finish on your car or truck. We hate seeing you hang your head in shame as you unlock your front door and hop behind the wheel.
Now is time to do something about it! Tucson Tint Company’s paint protection process removes the swirls and scratches caused by contaminants, debris, and road hazards found in our area. We can help restore your vehicle to its original glory. Utilizing some of the best products and safest techniques, your ride’s paint will have a like-new or even better-than-new finish.
Fixing major paint flaws with paint correctionis a great way to maintain the integrity of your vehicle and its paint.
While your car may still shine, it might not have the depth and clarity it used to and the defect-free finish that can be brought back with this service. Paint correction is the process in which swirls and scratches are removed from the paint using a buffer.
When paired with the correct polishes, pads, and compounds for your paint it achieves the glossy appearance desired. It leaves a defect-free finish behind.

Benefits of Paint Correction
Imperfections in your car’s paint can affect the resale value of your vehicle, along with its appearance. Paint correction is one remedy for these blemishes. Paint correction from Tucson Tint Company helps keep your car looking its best and in great condition.
Here are three benefits paint correction can provide for your vehicle.
Increase the Longevity of Your Car’s Paint
Environmental elements can take a significant toll on your car. Small scratches from road debris, deep scratching from impact, marring from poor wash techniques, and wiping on a dirty car, can all leave your car vulnerable to corrosion from dirt and pollutants. Harsh chemicals can eat away at your paint and potentially expose the metal to oxidation. This damage can be expensive to repair.
Paint correction can smooth, or entirely remove these imperfections to increase the longevity and luster of your car’s pain
Paint Correction Boosts Resale Value
A scratched and dull finish makes your car harder to sell and get maximum value. After paint correction, your car can look like it did when new at the dealership, or even better!
Paint correction can also help you avoid excessive wear and tear maintenance costs and keep lease turn-in charges from accumulating. You may be able to receive a higher appraisal at trade-in or when selling.
Highlight Your Car’s Accent Pieces
Paint correction can help highlight your car’s accent pieces, like your wheels or dynamic body lines. This detailed process involves compounding and polishing every painted surface to make your car stand out in the crowd, restore that luster, and allow your paint to gleam.
Paint correction works with existing material, so miracles cannot be performed, however often much can be achieved with a high-quality paint correction.
Oxidation and marring can dull your car’s paint slowly over time, to the point where you do not realize how lacking your paint finish is. A full paint correction can restore the depth of color and a high sheen allowing your metallic to really pop, or your glossy paint to look like a mirror.

Before any paint correction, we will scan the vehicle to read how thick the paint is and that will determine which stage we can do without damaging paint
Stage 1 Paint Correction
Our Single Stage Paint Correction is just that, polishing the paint work in one stage or one step with only one type of polish and pad combination. This is suited to paint work in good condition already that have no real visible swirls and only very minor marring – the Stage 1 or Single Stage Machine Polish involves refining the paint work with a finishing polish and a finishing pad only and is generally not abrasive enough to remove swirl marks and scratches.
This will remove 50-60% of paint imperfections.
Single Step Correction Includes:
- A hand wash using proper technique to avoid any swirling and marring of the paint
- Decontamination of the paint with a clay bar and iron remover
- Wheel and wheel wells detailed
- Single stage machine polish sealant applied to all painted surfaces
- Door jambs and trunk jambs cleaned and protected
- Includes a Basic Interior Detail
- A high end wax or sealant is applied if a ceramic coating is not being applied
Stage 2 Paint Correction
Our Stage 2 Paint Correction is suited to cars that have moderate swirl marks and light scratches and involves using 2 different polish and pad combinations; the first step is generally a cutting (abrasive) polish or compound to remove imperfections such as swirl marks, light scratches and other moderate paint defects. This is followed by a finishing polish and finishing pad to refine the paint work even further by removing any marring or holograms left by the previous step, it is then followed by a wax or paint sealant to protect the paint work.
This will correct 70-80% of paint imperfections
Stage 2 Paint Correction Includes:
- A hand wash using proper technique to avoid any swirling and marring of the paint
- Decontamination of the paint with a clay bar and iron remover
- Wheel and wheel wells detailed
- Single stage machine polish sealant applied to all painted surfaces
- Door jambs and trunk jambs cleaned and protected
- Includes a Basic Interior Detail
- A high end wax or sealant is applied if a ceramic coating is not being applied
Stage 3 Paint Correction
Our Stage 3 Paint Correction is a three-step program, where the car’s paint job has heavy swirl marks, marring, or other defects. The first step involves using a heavy cutting compound, with a machine polisher, and polishing pad – to really dig into that paint damage. The second step progressively decreases the grit, and finally, a light polishing compound should smooth out the damage.
This will correct 90% of paint imperfections
Stage 3 Paint Correction Includes:
- A hand wash using proper technique to avoid any swirling and marring of the paint
- Decontamination of the paint with a clay bar and iron remover
- Wheel and wheel wells detailed
- Single stage machine polish sealant applied to all painted surfaces
- Door jambs and trunk jambs cleaned and protected
- Includes a Basic Interior Detail
